Short answer: branch the dust line before the Pressure Chamber. Send one raw-dust branch to the press and send the chamber’s Moon Sand output to the other input. Then verify power and a clear outgoing route.
Build the two-feed route
- Split the incoming dust before processing. Keep one branch as raw dust.
- Feed the Pressure Chamber on the other branch. Confirm it is producing Moon Sand rather than merely accumulating dust at its inlet.
- Connect both products to the Stone Press. One full input does not satisfy the complete recipe.
- Check the live power state. Look at total demand and available generation or stored charge; do not diagnose from panel count alone.
- Leave a valid output path. A machine can have both inputs and power but still wait when it cannot release the finished capsule.
- Run a small batch. Watch which branch empties and where the first stationary capsule appears.
Raw dust and Moon Sand both arrive, the powered press consumes them, and the output leaves for storage, sale or the next production stage.
Use the symptom to choose the next check
| Symptom | Likely next check |
|---|---|
| Sand piles up, press idle | Raw-dust branch and the correct second input. |
| Raw dust piles up, no sand | Pressure Chamber inlet, power and sand output. |
| Both inputs visible, machine idle | Installed version, active power and output clearance. |
| Output capsule cannot leave | Outgoing belt direction, connection and destination capacity. |
Use the in-game power panel, not a copied kW number
Current guides disagree on the listed power draw for both the Pressure Chamber and Stone Press. That makes a fixed panel count or “perfect” night array unsafe to publish from secondary sources. Read the machine demand and total grid state in your installed build; the useful test is whether both ingredients are present, the machine reports adequate power, and one output batch can leave.
Rule out the patched capsule bug
Moon Sweepers 1.0.4 officially fixes machines pausing with “Could not pack a capsule” even when power and materials were available. If that exact error persists, first verify that the session is actually running 1.0.4 and capture the machine state before rebuilding the production line.
Evidence limit: the two-input recipe and route are cross-checked between current third-party guides; the official sources reviewed do not document that recipe. The official 1.0.4 note confirms only the capsule-packing fix.
